I have been lucky enough to not only have some great mentors throughout my career so far but also have relied on a few resources to help guide me through some of the uncertainty.
Starting out and even as the company continues to grow, there are always elements to the business that are ‘new’ to the operations and administration of the studio.
For example, we just expanded our small operations here to also include enhanced employee benefits.
I personally feel is important to the overall satisfaction and appreciation for all the hard work the team does. This includes establishing existing conditions, modeling design options, and everything that goes into seeing projects from beginning to end.

The decision to start off on your own is never really easy. If you’re thinking I’ll wait until the time is right or when I finally become more financially secure; that time never really comes about.
The advise I could give and have tried to share with a few colleagues who are undertaking the journey for themselves, plan for what you can and take the opportunity when it arises.
