We connected with Scott Orlowski, president of Apex Engineering Inc located in Rochester, MA through a mutual contact. The general contractor recommended Scott for structural engineering and we were impressed after our initial meeting.
Scott has opened his firm over 5 years ago during the economic downturn. However, he still managed to keep the work flowing to support the growth of the company.
A member of BNI South Coast in New Bedford, MA, which is a Business Networking International group. The group has local ties to support the growth and development of business in the area. Furthermore, Scott is heavily involved in the successful networking and expansion of his structural engineering trade.

Scott’s experience in projects from bridge design to residential houses makes him a great asset. Therefore, we can rely on him for more complex structural load calculations.
We have coordinated closely with Apex Engineering Inc to develop framing plans on a non-profit dormitory addition. This project is listed as our Featured Commercial project.
As we continue to look forward at future projects, we expect to utilize Scott’s expertise for structural design.
Although the demand for his services is pretty high and the turn around time is a variable, we coordinate with him closely. In this way, we ensure any deadline, permit submission, or progress set of plans is well organized to keep your project on track.
We primarily focus on residential design. However, we also feature small scale commercial projects that can often times actually be easier from a structural standpoint than the residential homes.
Apex Engineering has a nice balance of both. Therefore, they are able to serve the needs of 8TFive Studio as an ongoing consultant for future projects.
Neil has over 20 years’ experience on a range of large (15,000 sf) and small (500 sf) residential, non-profit, and commercial projects with a small business focus. He has two kids with his wife, Victoria, and loves family time camping, hiking, and traveling. While he grew up in New England, Neil is a diehard Buffalo Bills fan!
